Presentation Topic: 

Trends and Insights on Executive Compensation and Global Grading Practices

With regulatory changes, increased competition for executive talent, and unique roles, it’s tough to keep up. This session will cover challenges and considerations presented by new regulatory requirements, like CEO pay ratio; communicating your executive compensation strategy effectively; and trends in executive reward including establishing global grades, benchmarking, and workforce analytics. 



Joseph Abraham

Joe has a Degree in Economics, is a Certified Compensation Professional and a has a University of Michigan Ross School of Business Executive Education.  He has over 20 years of experience and most recently was the Corporate Vice President of Total Rewards, HR Systems and HR Data Analytics at Domino’s Pizza.  He has experience working in both the public and private sectors, has Big 4 consulting experience and is a trusted board advisor.

Joe has overseen all areas of Total Rewards including Exec Compensation, Broad-based Comp, Incentive Plan Design, Health and Wellness, Global Mobility and HR System Evaluation and Implementations.  He has led a number of business transitions and transactions including IPO, Mergers, Re-capitalizations, Stock Option Exchanges and Special Dividends. The sectors of his expertise are Retail and Restaurant, Consumer Products, Wholesale and Distribution, Healthcare, Automotive Manufacturing, and Public.

At PwC, Joe helps clients find the value they are seeking, while building strong relationships and partnering with our clients to solve their business challenges. PwC is broad, deep and global and has a leading HR practice called People and Organization. They have over 200,000 professionals and more than 10,000 specialists in various HR Topics. PwC services encompass everything HR: talent, strategy, structure, rewards, technology, change, culture, analytics, mobility, HR M&A, tax and accounting, etc.

Joe focuses on addressing client business issues through understanding the strategic needs and objectives of the business and leveraging capabilities within PwC to develop solutions that work for our customers.  He is also becoming and serving as a trusted advisor.



Mary Ellen Myhr

Senior Director, Global Compensation Benchmarking

Mary Ellen leads the development of Borderless Pay Insights; a participant-driven new way to assess total reward for the most senior and critical talent of global companies across borders. Working with top Total Reward executives, she is developing the concept and facilitates the establishment of data methodologies, the design of the interactive, on-line tool, and expanding the membership. She also participates in the development of AIRINC's business and marketing strategies to deliver innovative solutions to client challenges and manages several key client engagements. Drawing from more than 25 years of experience in workforce globalization, she contributes to thought-leadership by writing white papers and journal articles, presenting webinars, speaking at conferences, and serving on industry advisory and planning committees.

Mary Ellen has a B.A. in Political Science and Economics from Gustavus Adolphus College and completed the MA in Industrial Relations Program at the University of Minnesota.
